Big Cypress Celebration returns in February to support The Alliance for Florida's National Parks

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - eTradeWire -- The annual Big Cypress Celebration will return on Feb. 28, 2026, at Big Cypress National Preserve. The Alliance for Florida's National Parks announced that tickets are officially on sale for the fundraiser, designed to connect supporters with the landscapes, wildlife and educational programs their philanthropy makes possible.
"Big Cypress Celebration brings people straight into the heart of one of Florida's most extraordinary ecosystems," said Lulu Vilas, CEO of The Alliance for Florida's National Parks. "Every participant supports programs that inspire stewardship, expand access and deepen understanding of our natural world."
This adventure‑driven day in Big Cypress will invite guests to explore the preserve through guided hikes offered every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with two hike options: a 90‑minute immersive walk and a 30‑minute introductory walk.
A camping option is also available, with limited space. Proceeds directly support The Alliance's wide‑ranging efforts to fund education, exploration and conservation across Florida's four national parks.

- Closed toe shoes with laces are required; old sneakers work best
- No Crocs, rubber boots, or waders
- Long pants are recommended

- Bring a hat, sunblock and insect repellant (#rangerready bug spray will be available)
