Better Together, Calvary Chapel Downtown to host second chance job fair March 5 in Fort Lauderdale
eTradeWire News/10829057
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Better Together, a nonprofit on a mission to build strong families and communities, is partnering with Calvary Chapel Downtown to host a second chance job fair for Fort Lauderdale residents on Thursday, March 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration is now open for job seekers and employers to participate in the March event. Second-chance job fairs promote the power of second chances for neighbors who face barriers to employment. These can include past incarceration, homelessness, lack of transportation or child care, or gaps in employment.
With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite.
