SC Bards Poetry Anthology Book Launch Event in Charleston, SC on August 24, 2024
GREENVILLE, S.C. - eTradeWire -- Melissa Whiteford St. Clair is proud to announce the South Carolina Bards Review Team has selected her poem "Erosion," for inclusion in the South Carolina Bards Poetry Anthology 2024. St. Clair will read the poem, "Erosion" at the South Carolina Bards Poetry Anthology Book Launch event scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:00 pm), at the Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston, 1472 N Hwy 17, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. There is a $5.00 per person cover charge for the event.
The poem was written to express the angst the poet experiences witnessing the fraction and division among peoples and the ways chasms occur, then depicts how forces work to shift, replenish, and repair fractures with the goal of reaching the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s global vision of the Beloved Community.
The South Carolina Bards Poetry Anthology Book published by Local Gems Press will be for sale at the event or preorder ($15.00) is available through https://www.localgemspoetrypress.com/south-carolina-bards-preorders.html.
