Statement Clarifying misinformation sourced to an unauthorized use of the VFAF organizational brand in North Carolina by Conz: VFAF received trademark approvals on logos that were in use since 2015 and did not attempt to trademark any names. A logo trademark is a specific graphic symbol, design, or stylized wording that a person, business, or organization registers to represent their brand. It protects the visual appearance of a brand or organization (e.g., stylized fonts, icons, symbols). Against unauthorized use of that exact design or a confusingly similar design in commerce.

A logo trademark only protects that specific design—not the general use of a name in Text, Commentary, Endorsements (real or claimed), etc.

In November 2022 VFAF Attorney Jared Craig applied for and was grated live trademarks of the organizational trademarks (see photos attached). No claim to the Trump name was ever made nor did the organization fundraise on the name. The organization attempted to fundraise through Legacy PAC which conformed to President Trumps 5% rule in fundraising.
