CHARLOTTETOWN, Prince Edward Island - eTradeWire -- Mikayne's novel Jellicle Girl is a story of love and friendship, and the terrible consequences of one reckless mistake. It is being released exclusively from Bold Strokes Books March 1st and will be available on March 10th wherever books are sold.

Reviewers say:

"Stevie Mikayne is unbelievably talented."

"It takes a rare mind of beautiful depth to write a book like this."

"I was completely engaged by the passionate but very spiky heroine."

Mikayne says: I grew up queer 🏳️‍🌈 in 90s Toronto. I'm now in my mid-30s and the realisation that I'm "the previous generation" is a bit staggering. I'm the Mom on the sidelines of the Pride parade, offering hugs to queer teens who aren't getting any love at home. When did that happen? We, the queer youth of Y2K have grown up and become the writers of 2020. We're the "It Got Better" aspect of the "It Gets Better" movement. And now it's our turn to  help the generation coming up behind us. Literature can be a lifeline for queer youth seeking themselves in pages, and Jellicle Girl is my contribution to that cause. I feel blessed that Jellicle Girl has found a new home that will help it find its audience.
