Idaho State Police Forensic Services Receives Outstanding Evaluation/Validation Award
MERIDIAN, Idaho - eTradeWire -- Garner, NC – The American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD) proudly announces the Idaho State Police Forensic Services as the recipient of the 2024 Forensic Research Committee (FRC) Outstanding Evaluation/Validation Award. The prestigious award was presented during the ASCLD President and Awards Ceremony at the 2024 ASCLD Symposium in Birmingham, Alabama.
Matthew Gamette, Director of the Idaho State Police Forensic Services Laboratory System, accepted the award on behalf of the team. The honored members include Anna Kristina (Tina) Mattox, Quality Manager; Celena Shrum, Toxicology Discipline Leader; John Garner, Chemist; Melissa (Nikka) Bradley, Chemist; and Galina (Gala) Giso, Chemist. Their award-winning project, titled "Screening of Suspected Overdose Samples with Randox MultiSTAT Analyzer," exemplifies exceptional forensic research and validation.

This award is open to scientists from various forensic disciplines, including bio/DNA, drug chemistry, toxicology, fingerprints, questioned documents, trace/microscopy, and firearms/toolmarks, working in operational forensic laboratories or research institutions.
