MCLEAN, Va. - eTradeWire -- The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) announces that applications are now being accepted for the 2020 USA Biolympiad (USABO). This is open for U.S. high school students nationwide.

CEE encourages teachers and schools to register grades 9 to 12 biology students for the Open Exam. AP courses are not required. The registration fee is $95 per school regardless of the number of student participants.

As the premiere biology competition for high school students in the United States since it began in 2002, the USABO enriches the life science education of thousands of talented students annually. It provides the motivation, curricular resources, and skills training to take them beyond their classroom experience to the level of international competitiveness.

"This is an exciting time of year," said Kevin Andersen, Manager of the USA Biolympiad at CEE. "It's wonderful to see the thousands of students who sign up to take the exam. All are passionate about biology and welcome the challenge of the USABO."
