LONDON - eTradeWire -- Communications and sports-media leader Anthony Babafemi Raji, M.O.N., CMC, has launched a new thought-leadership article series focused on leadership, strategic communications, reputation management and the commercial value of public relations.

The series opens with "Leading Under Pressure: Five Lessons from Managing Communications Around the Super Eagles," published on Raji's LinkedIn profile. Drawing on his experience as Media Officer and Media Manager of Nigeria's senior men's national football team from 2020 to 2024, the article examines preparation, credibility, stakeholder empathy, shared purpose and reflection as essential leadership disciplines.

"Leadership becomes most visible when expectations are high and decisions are being tested in real time," Raji said. "My goal is to share practical lessons from sport, broadcasting, public relations and organisational operations that other leaders and communicators can apply in their own environments."

Raji has worked across sports broadcasting, journalism, public relations, stakeholder engagement and media operations for more than 17 years. His career has included senior programming and communications responsibilities at Brila Media, leadership of communications around the Super Eagles and his current role as Director of Communications and Operations at Antios Multi-Concepts UK Limited.

During the build-up to the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire, the Super Eagles adopted the "Let's Do It Again" rallying campaign. Nigeria reached the final and returned with the silver medal. Raji subsequently received the Member of the Order of the Niger national honour as part of the recognition awarded following the tournament.
