Announcing the 2nd Annual Lehigh Acres Career Fair
eTradeWire News/10786351
Uniting multiple employers to address local employment needs
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - eTradeWire -- The East County Library is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida to offer the 2nd Annual Lehigh Acres Career Fair on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. About 20 local employment and resource partners will be attending the event at the East County Regional Library located at 881 Gunnery Road in Lehigh Acres.
The rising unemployment rate means that it's getting more competitive for job seekers to get hired. Coming out of the pandemic, job seekers have been calling the shots as employers struggled to fill millions of openings to meet the demand. But, that has slowed.
Add the population increase in Lehigh Acres, which has been higher than the overall population growth in Lee County, and area job seekers are struggling to find opportunity. Lehigh residents are not seeing the number of businesses and job opportunities keeping up to accommodate the growth.
