Airway, Tracheostomy, and Ventilator Management Course

eTradeWire News/10648926
Continuing Education 8 hour course with Certificate of Completion.

CERRITOS, Calif. - eTradeWire -- I Heart Respiratory is offering a Continuous Education course for 8 contact hours in Airway, Tracheostomy, and Ventilator Management.

When: November 4th, 2021

The course focuses on how to skillfully adapt nursing care to patients with a tracheostomy and ventilator while using nursing assessments.

Nursing care for patients with a tracheostomy requires that nurses not only be familiar with natural and artificial airway anatomy, but also that they recognize potential signs and symptoms of hypoxemia and have the ability to assess and perform appropriate life-saving actions.

Nurses in the Home Health and Home Care fields have various critical responsibilities such as airway management, tracheostomy maintenance, weekly or intermittent tracheostomy changes, placing ventilator-dependent patients on the ventilator, and responding to ventilator alarms when needed. Direct patient care in relation to oxygenation, ventilation, suctioning, tracheostomy changes, ventilatory circuit maintenance, and changes are among the respiratory modalities that all nurses must be familiar with and fulfill in the patient's home. Our goal is to provide real-life skills necessary to safely care for tracheostomy patients.
