After a car accident, runaway teenager wakes up in nursing home as one of its 80-year-old residents

RENO, Nev. - eTradeWire -- This is the plot for a new Mad Wife Productions film called Waking Up Eighty (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13542552/?ref_=nm_...) that was released on May 28, 2021. The 10-minute pilot sets up the plot for a fun, light-hearted coming-of-age story that is is based on a novel written by Shola Lawrence.

Waking Up Eighty (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13542552/?ref_=nm_...) tells a story about Kara Stewart, 16, who is fed up with just about everything, especially her mom's annoying new husband. After a fight, she runs away. But, things quickly change when she gets hit by a car and wakes up in a nursing home at the age of 80.

Betty Kennedy (also known as Waters) is an actress best known for Remington Steele (1982), Cheech and Chong's Next Movie (1980) and The Rockford Files (1974).
