ADSL Emphasises Commitment to Develop Workforce Through Apprenticeships
eTradeWire News/10719172
A core objective for Aspire Defence Services Limited's People Strategy over the next five years is to attract, develop and retain great people, and one of the ways we aim to achieve this commitment is through Apprenticeships.
TIDWORTH, U.K. - eTradeWire -- On Tuesday 24 January, Aspire Defence Services Limited was one of several companies present at the Salisbury Apprenticeship and Careers fair at Wiltshire College and University Centre.
The event, which was run by Salisbury Education Business Partnership with the support of the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership Limited (SWLEP) Careers Hub, had more than 800 pupils from local schools in attendance, as well as students from both Salisbury Sixth Form College and Wiltshire College and University Centre.
It was a fun and informative event for young people to find out about all the great opportunities in the local area and particularly how employers like Aspire Defence Services Limited can support them to achieve future goals. It was also a great opportunity for both parents and students to gain insight into how Apprenticeships work and the various types available to them, including higher and degree Apprenticeship opportunities.

Though typically targeted at school/college leavers, anyone can start an Apprenticeship programme. Aspire Defence Services Limited encourages its employees to consider apprenticeships as an alternative learning pathway for future development opportunities and provides full support towards the successful completion of their programmes.
Through this pathway towards learning and development, several employees have been able to advance their careers and develop valuable skills for life.
L&D Advisor, Kelly Maidment, shares her experience studying to become a Learning and Development Consultant/Business Partner as a Level 5 apprentice.
"Although there is a lot of hard work and personal commitment required, the knowledge and skills the apprenticeship provided has enabled me to be confident in effectively carrying out my role within ADSL. It has also given me an insight into what it is like to be an Apprentice, allowing me to share my experience with others when supporting them with their learning pathways."
