Acts 4 Ministry Seeking Winter Coats & Accessories For "Share The Warmth" Drive

WATERBURY, Conn. - eTradeWire -- Through Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Acts 4 Ministry Inc., a non-denominational, non-profit charitable organization serving the greater Waterbury region, will accept donations of new or gently-worn coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweatshirts, new socks, thermals, and undergarments for children, men, and women toward their 2022-23 "Share the Warmth" Drive.
"Each year, our goal", stated Sarah E. DiMeo-Carabetta, Acts 4 Ministry Executive Director, "is to ensure that people in need of assistance have warm clothing during the entire cold season. Currently, we need coats and jackets for men sizes L to 3X, for boys' and girls' sizes 14-16, girl's pants size 10, and girl's tops size 8 and 16, and men's jeans size 28-36 waist in all lengths, and men's shoe sizes 10-13, plus gently worn clothing, coats, and boots for women.
"Additionally, we seek items for men, women, and children in all sizes, including clean long-sleeve tops and T-shirts, hoodie sweatshirts, winter boots, leggings, jeans, pajamas for men and women in all sizes, children's pajamas in sizes 6 to 20, boys jackets in all sizes. Socks, belts, underwear & undershirts, slippers, sneakers, winter hats, gloves, and scarves, bras, onesies, snowsuits, and sweaters for all are much needed."

For the past four years, Thomaston Savings Bank has supported the Drive through an employee collection. Cheryl Lindstrom, AVP/Community Outreach Officer of Thomaston Savings Bank, commented, "Our bank and employees proudly support Acts 4 Ministry's ambitions of inspiring acts of love. We thank the Ministry for providing dignified, thoughtful, caring support and services to those most in need in our community."
The organization partners with churches, social service agencies, and public schools to identify and serve people with these needs in the context of the broader community regardless of their faith, race, creed, national origin, or willingness to participate in religious activities.
Through February 2023, donations can be brought to Acts 4 Ministry located at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to receive a receipt for tax deductions.
