AUSTELL, Ga. - eTradeWire -- Today, two new participants have been added to the Accelerate Climate Resiliency and Renewable Energy @ HBCUs Initiative known as ACRRE @ HBCUs. These institutions join Xavier University, the first ACRRE HBCU. ACRRE will continue taking in participants on a rolling basis until 40 HBCUs are reached. ACRRE @ HBCUs has over 30 BIPoC-led firms on its platform that are committed to developing an energy resilient center on each campus, lowering electricity costs by up to 50% for HBCUs, and providing EV infrastructure including revenue share opportunities.
GPV estimates that the overall program of 40 universities will save approximately $2 billion over 25 years with an added benefit of increased resiliency.
