Empowering youth ages 15–19 through hands-on supply chain education and career readiness at AAWTA's new Power Lab (Doraville, GA)
DORAVILLE, Ga. - eTradeWire -- Doraville, GA — The African American Women Trucking Association (AAWTA) has announced the launch of its Future Forward Youth Supply Chain & Logistics Program, a workforce development initiative designed for youth ages 15–19. The program will begin on June 15th and will be hosted at AAWTA's new training hub, The Power Lab, located at 5269 Buford Highway, Doraville 30340.
The program is designed to introduce students to high-demand career pathways within trucking 101, logistics, and supply chain. Participants will receive hands-on exposure to supply chain operations, entrepreneurship, and career readiness—helping bridge the gap between education and real-world employment opportunities.
The launch of The Power Lab marks a significant expansion for AAWTA. Located in Doraville, the facility serves as a hybrid workforce training center offering both in-person and virtual learning. The space is designed to support small cohort instruction, collaborative learning, and community-based workforce programming.
