Frye delivered one of the most remarkable title-game performances in recent Alabama high school football history. He rushed for 183 yards on 15 carries with touchdown runs of 39, 4, and 56 yards, and completed 8 of 10 passes for 167 yards and two additional touchdowns. His explosive five-touchdown outing powered the Cougars past Saraland and secured their undefeated season.

After one of his touchdown runs, Frye energized his sideline with a now-signature statement:

His father, who served as a de facto coach and spent countless hours watching film with him, and his mother, who showed unwavering commitment by working concessions, parking, pregame meals, and more, played a foundational role in his preparation and success. Their support, paired with Clay-Chalkville's coaching staff and team culture, shaped the leader Frye has become.
