Pre-party at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room on October 17 Main festival at North Boulevard Town Square in Baton Rouge, October19 and 20
BATON ROUGE, La. - eTradeWire -- The 8th Annual A Taste of the Deep South (formerly Henry Turner Jr. Day) is pleased to announce the new dates for the three day festival. The festival opens with a Pre-Party on at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room on Thursday, October 17. Performers include Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, the Listening Room All-Stars and special guest artists from around the country who will perform at the festival. The event is scheduled from 7:00pm to midnight. The venue is located at 2733 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Admission is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door and includes a down home style Southern buffet. No-host bar.
A Taste of the Deep South Festival takes place at North Boulevard Town Square October 19 and 20 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. The event features various genres of music. The Galvez Plaza stage has an emphasis on world and new music, blues, soul, rock and R& B. The Town Lawn stage will feature buskers. The festival also has a Vendor Village with arts and crafts, clothing and jewelry and a food court with southern festival food favorites. Musical talent to date includes Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, along with the Listening Room All-Stars.

The event is family friendly and free to the public. Special VIP tickets are available on the website. VIP Experience cost is $25.00 and includes two meal and two soft drink tickets. Turner VIP tickets are $100.00 for two people with two T-shirts, four meal and drink tickets, covered seating in the VIP access tent and a "Now" CD by Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor. Food is from the festival Taste of the Deep South kitchen. The venue is located at 222 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70801. Lawn seating so bring your chairs!
