2025 IRMA Awards Winners Announced

TORONTO - eTradeWire -- On September 26, Calgary hosted North America's finest regional magazine professionals as they gathered to celebrate the 2025 International Regional Magazine Awards.
The annual event, hosted by the International Regional Media Association (IRMA), is celebrating its 45th year, and is judged by industry leaders from across North America.
Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards were presented in 44 categories, after the rigorous judging of 353 entries undertaken by 32 volunteer judges.
"The IRMA Awards celebrate the very best in regional magazine journalism in North America. From Bermuda to Calgary to Arizona, our magazine members are vital chronicles of place, people, history and community. These awards recognize excellence in writing, visual art, editing, art direction and brand marketing. IRMA is honoured to bring these publications and their teams together to celebrate regional storytelling," said Joyce Byrne, Executive Director of IRMA.
This year's Magazine of the Year category was presented to Yukon, North of Ordinary in the circulation under 34,999 category, and to Texas Highways in the circulation over 35,000 category.

Of Yukon, North of Ordinary, judges acknowledged the magazine's graphic design that "is consistently in lock-step with its well-organized and intelligent content. The content is spunky, and there's some 'tude that seems reflective of Yukoners."
Texas Highways was lauded by judges for its "slick design, amazing photography and stories that speak to people from all walks of life. Anyone picking up this magazine is going to be immediately drawn in."
