18th Annual Festival of Trees is gearing up for the holidays but still in need of tree sponsors
eTradeWire News/10786352
FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center (SBDAC) presents the 18th Annual Festival of Trees, December 5, 2024 through December 8, 2024. This annual fundraiser benefits both community nonprofits, and has become a holiday tradition in Southwest Florida for thousands of families.
The 4-day event ushers in the holidays at the SBDAC located at 2301 First Street in the River District of Fort Myers. Throughout the Festival of Trees event, the public can view the beautifully decorated trees, purchase raffle tickets, and vote for their favorite trees. On Sunday, people wait in anticipation to see if their ticket is called as a winner of one of the trees.
This year's event has been more challenging to organize then most. With so many area businesses being affected by the recent hurricanes, the Festival of Trees committee is still in need of tree sponsors.
Each year, local businesses sponsor and decorate 7-foot and 9-foot Christmas trees, each with a theme and retail value in décor and gifts between $1,750 and $2,000+. These trees are viewed and inspected by thousands as they try to decide which ones they want. Pictures of the tree are posted on the website fortmyersfestivaloftrees.com, and on several Facebook pages that have a collective reach of 40,000. As one of the best attended holiday events, businesses can benefit from the vast exposure and reach.
